Well i bought an MX 2 and a Gk802 a couple of weeks ago. They haven't arrived yet. The MX because they seem to get well reviewed and have the rk3066 which seems like the best choice for dual core. The Gk cos i wanted something that was likely to get s lot of Dev work done to it. I know its a bit rough at the moment but i think being the first quad core a lot of people have and will be interested in it so it will be well supported in the future.

That's my thinking

I purchased the MK808 from Amazon and I'm sending it back. The WiFi just does not work great and I am not going to attempt any of the suggested hardware fixes as I am NOT skilled in that.

I'm quite disappointed. However, I would like to replace it. Any suggestions? I am looking at the iMoto MX1.

uHOST2 seems like the most recommended model. stable wifi and frequent firmware updates and good support.

Does any of these sticks/stb-s support XBMC hardware decoding without external player?

I'm developing an application with Open GL ES2 that I plan to run on units like the MK808. I'm having trouble to get the animations perfectly smooth. The animation hack every 1-2 sec. Not a lot, but enough to be irritating. I don't think the problem is with graphics performance because the frame rate is good when I measure. I have also tested with other Open GL applications to be sure the error is not in my own code.

I have tested on MK808 and MK802 and both have this issue. My phone, the quite old Nexus One and tablet, Nexus 10, does not.

I'm looking for help to see if other units have the same issue before I go out and buy it. I have tested with the application AndEngineExamples and example Modifier & Animations -> Using EasyFunctions -> EaseLinear, it shows the problem quite good.
