Looking at the dmesg it seems that the NEO g4 uses the same wifi as the UG802.
That's pretty nice in the fact that it can actually reach 150mbps.

What's also interesting is that since they use the same wifi, then it should be possible to use the UG802 JB Preview firmware and 1080 UG802 JB Preview firmware on it.
I'm sure some stuff won't work with the UG802 1080p kernel(soft power button, IR remote) Just because it's not compiled for those.
I wouldn't test this without having a copy of the original firmware though. I can't test because I don't have a Neo G4.

You really need a copy of the stock firmware before anything.

OK,
It uses the RTL8188EU wifi chip and the WM831x Power Controller, which is a very good combination in terms of kernel source code availability. No problems using any UG802 Android ROM except for the kernel which is just slightly different (the UG802 uses a TPS65910 Power Controller). Note that some Android kernels are compiled with both drivers (the kernel first tests for the presence of the WM831X and then generates a few error messages if it is not present).

Yes, Orignal firmware is not available any where, even their website.

But they are going to release 4.1.1 in this week and they have informed their customer that its not custom 4.1.1 but official from rockchip, so it means it will use latest kernel from Rockchip.

But not sure if they will release the source code ever.
