Driver pack for MK808

Postby natxito » Fri Nov 09, 2012 9:43 am

Hello,

I am using Finless Bob 1.5a ROM in my MK808. Because of WIFI problems, I bought an Ethernet to USB adapter (Logilink UA0025C 10/100 - Módem). It doesn´t work, but I have found the driver in...

https://github.com/omegamoon/rockchip-rk30xx-mk808/tree/master/drivers/net/usb

Mine is Pegasus.

I tried to build pegasus.ko driver file by downloading kernel.img and ndk tools, but I couldn´t get it. My knowlegde in this issue is poor, and I don´t have too much time to make some trials. My computer is Windows 7 OS.

My idea, if someone know how, have time enough and interest, is to build driver packs for MK808 from omegamoon rockchip sourcecode and for that ROM kernel.

I think a lot of people would appreciate it.

Thanks to all in advance for your help.

I've compiled pegasus.ko for you.
Hopefully it works out.

Based on a omegamons' rk3066 firmware or even AndrewDB's is there a way I can compile wifi driver only?

I was curious if I can get rtl8192cu and see if this would work with my device rtl8188cus (based on realtek it's the same driver, and in windows it install the sames driver).

Maybe I could get someone to compile this r8712u driver for me. I've tried to get it to make a module, but have finally given up after several hours of hammering away.

the driver is at http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/g ... 7f5cdbc4ef

How do I compile drivers ? I need the smsc95xx.c for my finless 1.5a build. Is there a comprehensive guide for compiling drivers anywhere ? Actually, just saw there is also a smsc95xx.h, how do I know which one I'll need ?

Usb wifi driver for TPLINK 723N

Postby a.alekizoglou » Fri Nov 23, 2012 4:31 am

I've build the wifi driver for Realtek's rtl8188cu chipset. I've tested that on TP-LINK 723N, on Finless 1.5a. The device works steady on 150MBps, router is 10m away behind the wall, Vigor Draytek 802.11 b/g/n

Note: It's not the same rtl8192cu.ko, but a build with IOCTL enabled.

My AX88772B based USB ethernet adapter works well on finless 1.5a rom.

So I've got a Dlink DWA-131 H/W Ver: A1 -- F/W Ver: 1.21 -- so says the box.

I've insmod r8712u with no errors. Kernel detects the usb and sees the mac address but when I turn the wifi to ON
I get all kinds of errors.

ANDROID_ERROR) ##wife_probe
ANDROID_ERROR) wifi_set_power = 1 ( I've tried it in the otg and direct usb slot ( Not a powered usb hub )
ANDROID_ERROR) wifi_set_carddetect:1

Then rk29 stuff, Dongle Host stuff
ANDROID_ERROR) wifi_get_mac_addr

I'm thinking I'll try a powered usb hub?????
