Keyboards Mouse

Postby junkaccnt64 » Sat Dec 29, 2012 7:56 pm

Here are my adventures.

When booting in to recovery, my Das Keyboard Pro (1st gen) w/ 2 port usb hub built in did not work.
When booting in to recovery, my Microsoft Optical Mouse Blue did not work.
When booting in to recovery, my Dell Soft Keys keyboard worked.

When booting in to any revision of 4.0.4, my Das Keyboard Pro worked and I was able to plug an 8GB Mushkin USB drive and Microsoft Optical Blue mouse in to the 2 addition USB ports provided by the keyboard.
The Dell keyboard also works.

I was successfully able to pair my Apple BT Mighty Mouse with 4.0.4 but it did not understand clicks or scrolls, so it was just a floating pointer.
I have not been able to pair my Apple BT keyboard A1255, i receive the error unable to communicate.

I only power via the wall adapter.

I have a logitech K400 that works well with the GK802.
I do have an issue with the input languagfe so: Allthough is set the system language as well of the keyboard language to GERMAN - Android the device is still using the english layout.
Any ideas on how to solve that?

Best

My Trust Thinity keyboard with touchpad works on the desktop.
It also works in recovery mode.
Oddly enough the audio mute button does not work, it did work on my Tizzbird F30 which runs Gingerbread.
GK802 (Presumably 1st version)

I'm using this ipazzport wireless keyboard/touchpad combo whis is working fine but it's working range could be better ;) :

I tried to use this general keys Combo from Pearl but it was not recognized by the GK802 with Android (i will try with linux later, too) :
http://www.pearl.de/a-PX2570-1002.shtml

To get the german layout working, i'm using the "external keyboard helper" from playstore :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelper
There is a demo version, too.

I have been using my Dinovo mini by Logitech.
features built in mouse touch-pad.
Back-lit keyboard.
Media buttons. volume up/down.
Work with built-in Bluetooth on the mx1 and gk802 or with dongle on the mx1 only .
Can be switched to ps3 mode.
can power on/off my imito mx1 and zealz gk802.
some function keys don't work, but overall the experience is excellent especially with xbmc.
and its very Compact.

Microsoft Wireless 2000 combo

Postby guydroid208 » Thu Feb 21, 2013 3:31 pm

I have the Microsoft Wireless 2000 Desktop. This includes the keyboard and mouse. It is connected via (1) oversized dongle.

Utilizing the rooted firmware (Android version 4.0.4), you can get either the mouse to work or the keyboard, but not both.
Here is what I discovered:

1) You need to install the USB dongle with the GK802 POWERED DOWN.

2) Power up the GK802 with the mouse POWERED ON, it will detect the mouse. But the only keyboard keys that work is the home key and the calculator key.

3) Power up the GK802 with the mouse POWERED OFF and plunk away on any key on the keyboard while it is booting. The keyboard will be detected, but the mouse will not.

4) Power up the GK802 with the mouse POWERED ON and plunk away on any key on the keyboard. You will see the mouse get detected, for a split second the keyboard does as well, then whatever key you were pressing gets infinitely repeated until you remove the dongle. Note that this combo works perfectly on the iMito MX1

Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard 6000

Postby guydroid208 » Thu Feb 21, 2013 3:33 pm

Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard 6000 will pair with GK802, but after a couple of minutes disconnects. Only way to reconnect is to unpair keyboard and rediscover. Keyboard works perfectly with iMito MX1. Probably a firmware bug in ght GK802?

I think this device does not work properly with Microsoft input devices... My results are:

Microsoft Wireless Keyboard V3.0 - OK;
Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 - Works, but acts weird (hangs and continue);
Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 - Works, but acts weird (hangs and continue);
Very cheap USB Keyboard - OK.
