Volume control issue

Postby viumden » Sat Jan 26, 2013 8:28 am

Anyone has the same volume control problem like me?
1. Increasing or decreasing the volume in system settings makes on effect, the volume stays the same. But you can successfully mute the sound.
2. Bluetooth can connect audio devices (earphone or speakers), but the sound is in very bad quality and gets interrupted frequently.

I was running a latest Hi-802(the so called 2nd gen hardware I guess) with the rooted 1.65.4 full image provided by deadhp1 in firmware section.

Hello,
Yes, I have the same issue.
I am using HDMI out to my TV, and searching on the web is making me a bit confused.
Some people attribute this binary Volume_ON or Volume_OFF function to the HDMI data format (Baloney!)...because I can see in XBMC that the integrated volume controller works well.

I am wondering; can anyone confirm that volume control works well for anyone, on HDMI?

This is seriously frustrating....been trying to get this figured out.
Any ideas or comments?

Cheers dudez.

Thats how it also works on my GK802.
I however think this has to do with the HDMI output.
The same happens on the HDMI output on my Dreambox DM-800HD SE, while the analog outputs do change their output levels with the volume control.
It's just a hardware 'feature' I guess.
