Special Characters in File System

Postby Brater » Mon Dec 03, 2012 6:11 pm

I have trouble with filenames containing speacial characters (something like öäüß). I read somewhere that a partition must be mounted with UTF8 file system.
I would like to write onto the internal flash memory.
Would it be better writing onto external flash or external hard drive?

Any ideas? (no, i cannot change the file names :( the download tool makes such stupid names automatically)

I cannot remember which forum I read it on so I can give credit to OP, but the OP found you need to format the micro SD card you insert into the UG802 as NTFS. This is not the same as the UG802 internal storage sdcard folder. I was having all kinds of corrupt file issues with strange characters. I thought it was the app. But after I formatted the micro SD card as NTFS the issue went away.

If I remember right, it's an issue with the Rockchip CPU.

Return to “UG802”
