Hello,

I have buy this android tv stick http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Dual-Core-MK809-II-Mini-PC-TV-Dongle-RK3066-1-6GHz-Android-4-1-OS-1G-8G-Built-in-BT-1080P-Black-314207.html. The first days it runs good, but now if I switch it on only the animated logo R-BOX appear and no more happens. What can I do? Which firmware can I flash to it and how I can do this? Which drivers I need to do this?

As you are the first to ask. I haven't officially released this yet!

http://www.multiupload.nl/ITBFBE2XBX Firmware Download

This supports MK809II model's that have the Mediatek and Realtek chipset.

* Set Internal space (DATA) to 2gb and the rest 4gb for virtual SDCARD.
* XBMC 13.0 Alpha with Hardware Acceleration and fixed libstagefright from Rockchip developer - Play's 720p video's beautifully!
* Init.d added so you can create custom startup scripts - /system/etc/init.d
* Set Governor to Performance.
* Other apps..

Use the supplied RKBatchTool and click Restore. DON'T use long USB extension leads otherwise it will not work and could brick your device!

Once flashed let it boot, then give it at least 5 minutes to finish as apps will be installing in the background!

Enjoy!

Hi, since this is unreleased, do you have more information about the firmware?
Will XBMC auto-update? Are there any WIFI improvements over stock? It works with rockchip rk3066 mk809 ii (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockchip#RK30xx_series)?

I just got one myself, specs "MK809 II Android 4.1 OS 8GB Mini PC Stick TV Box Dongle Dual Core RK3066 1.6GHz with Built in Bluetooth", and looking at alterenative firmwares than the stock so your posting was interesting.

Hi. I was using this MK809 II when suddenly ended the electricity ... When I started it again, the wireless keyboard didn't work over, only the mouse, and even then, after a while it stops working, forcing me to unplug and plug back in the usb dongle android mini pc to get it to work again. Interestingly, there was a moment when I was pressing some keys on the keyboard and a few letters appeared on the screen but quickly stopped working again and never returned. Is there any way to solve this problem? Already reseted the device but to no avail. Does anyone here know any solution? Thanks.
