Stable Alternative to MK808?

Postby ShuttleMunky » Tue Oct 09, 2012 10:56 am

Do such products exist? I heard from some of you guys that UHOST was the most stable android box... But it being single cored did not appeal to me.
Now i see this, it says it is dual core...

Would this be as stable as the first one? Or if it is,, would it be the same when it is upgraded to ICS(it says it is upgradable)? Any ideas?
If so i would like to buy this. Or buy it anyway with gingerbeard if everything is functional.

The current version of Uhost is based on the familiar Allwinner A10 chipset and was actually released in May 2012 while an older version that was based on the dual core EV2 chipset was released last year.

Thanks for the link. So seems like the newer version with one core actually have more performance than the older 2core?

I've got a single core uHost and it's pretty stable, but it SLOW compared to the MK808. The VPU works pretty well though.

Rikomagic mk802III comes :D i think it is basically ug802 because it has only one usb port like ug802 and it comes with android 4.1 jelly bean and maybe we can upgrade ug802 with mk802III firmware ?

My opinion is probably Minix Neo G4. They were participated in IFA 2012 and I think this is promising although I haven't decided to buy any of this and other stick until I am convinced I found the most stable one.
