GeekBuying DOA Product Return Experience

Postby tgalarneau » Thu Jan 17, 2013 11:47 pm

I thought for info purposes would start a thread on my experiences with Geekbuying.

Ordered a Neo G4 on Jan 1st and received it on Jan 14th and I am in Hawaii. Pretty quick shipping and it arrived in good shape.

However, the G4 was DOA - no hdmi signal out and after much testing was unable to get it to work. Never got even a flicker from the display. After eliminating possible firmware, cable, display and power problems only left with bad product conclusion.

Sent email to Geekbuying requesting RMA on Jan 15 within their 5 day DOA return window.

On Jan 15 received a automated form email from them stating :

"Dear customers, please forgive our delay answers due to the bulk emails for our service people in the new year rush period, if possible , please call us 86-0755-23943772 at any time during the workins hours( china time AM9:30-PM6:30 ) to solve your urgent problem.Thank you for your understanding."

On Jan 17th sent 2nd email and tried live chat neither were successful. Still no reply. Either they are incredibly busy or I'm getting the shaft.

I will keep all informed on how this goes so potential customers have a heads up.

They suck at DOA!

Ordered at MK808 who was DOA for a special price around 40$ shipped to me..

Gonna cost me 25+$ to send it back to them in China with registered mail not worth it for me.. To get an replacement unit..

They screwed me for 40$...

Aliexpress for life !
