MELE F10 2.4GHz Fly/Air Mouse + Wireless Keyboard

Postby KEgg » Thu Oct 11, 2012 10:58 am

Have tested this with JB and ICS (rooted and stock)... had to alter generic.kl to make the 'Home' and 'Settings' buttons work correctly.

For those who have rooted their Mk808... Do this at your own risk.. If you screw with the mappings and create miss matches, you can send your device into boot loop heaven

Download :: KeyNumberTracker.apk or Download from here... this will allow you to see the corresponding key codes.

KeyEvent documention over on the Android Dev site
more info on keyboard mapping

Use 'ESFile Explorer' or 'Root Explorer' to edit the the generic.kl.. I personally use 'Root Explorer' to edit /system/user/keylayout/generic.kl
also if you're using a UK keyboard and want the swap back " and @ or restore £ you can edit the .kcm in /system/user/keychars/

Thanks, great idea to remap in generic.kl. Only thing is I dont get a response for the settings key in keynumber tracker, so I dont know wich button I have to remap in generic.kl to make it work. I already have the home button working! Is it an idea to share your fully working generic.kl? Thanks in advance!

My center button (button in the circle) works as it should. I clicks as if you would tap a screen.

However I also have some troubles finding out the key codes. With the CM10 mod installed the back key no longers works, and it doesnt show up in the key program mentioned in this topic. Does anyone has a list of all the codes of the Mele to use in Android?

ALso when i edit the generic.kl document I cannot save it. Is this because its not rooted (i thought my device was rooted, cm10 firmware)

Does it switch mouse on if it's off? It's very annoying for me.

I'm using finless rom 1.6 on UG802. Can you post your generic.kl?
Thanks!

I'm trying to make the Home and Menu buttons work on my MeLE F10 as well. For reference purposes I'm running the Finless 1.5a ROM on an MK808. It is rooted and I do have SuperUser access.

I've installed KeynumberTracker and it tells me the Home button should be 102.
I don't get a response out of the Menu button, the button below Menu that looks like a box with three dots, or the button to its right that looks like a pair of lips. Additionally I don't get a response out of the Power button either.

I've also installed RootExplorer and have looked at the Generic.kl, key 102 is mapped to MOVE_HOME so theoretically it is already correctly mapped. However it doesn't respond.

Are these the same keys others are getting? Have you made the mapping work, if so what did you map to what? Do you get a response out of they keys that don't seem to be working for me?

Update:
I was able to get the home button remapped by changing the mapping from MOVE_HOME to just HOME. But I still get no response from the menu button, nor the others. The Mute button also seems to respond and be mapped properly however doesn't execute it's command correctly.

Same here. I have remapped F10's home button to HOME in keyboard layout (default mapping is to MOVE_HOME) and it is working great.

The F10's menu button does not show up in standard keycode scan programs, it is a limitation of the Android system as it is described in KeynumberTracker's docs.
It would be great if someone could provide a keycode for F10's menu button...

I got the exact same result here. Is it possible to scan the keyboard in other OS so we can get a full list of key codes? It will be nice to make the power key and media keys work in Android.

Back button is 273 and menu button is 274. I tried to add it to Generic.kl but it doesn't work with CM10. Both key are still mapped to left mouse click. Where the hell can we map mouse button on Android?

I'm trying to map the 4 buttons on the last row to ZOOM_IN, ZOOM_OUT, PAGE_DOWN, PAGE_UP without any luck. Anyone have success programming Key 59-62?

Unzip,
copy "Vendor_1915_Product_af11.kl" to /system/usr/keylayout/ and
copy "Vendor_1915_Product_af11.kcm" to /system/usr/keychars.

In file manager (I use ES file explorer) go in mentioned maps - than long pres on above files in proper map - properties - change permissions - set user can read, write and execute - OK

You are good to go.
