Forum for AMLogic chip devices

Postby Chris P Bacon » Tue Oct 02, 2012 12:35 pm

It would be great to see some discussion of android sticks that use the AMLogic chip.

The best know one being the G box Dyno but similar are available such as this one from Pandawill

http://www.pandawill.com/a22-mini-andro ... 67141.html

Correct me if I'm wrong but this type of stick seems to be the only one available which allows hardware acceleration in XBMC.

Has anyone tested an A22 stick?

Your not wrong, the aml8726 based devices are the only ones at the moment that support hardware decoding in XBMC.
There is some pre alpha support for allwinner a10 devices in linux xbmc also.
I've created an Amlogic forum for you, but I still don't own one of these so I won't really be able to make much of a contribution.
If you want me to add other devices just ask!
Enjoy!

Super, thanks.

I don't own one yet either, so I was hoping for some feedback before I decide which to purchase.

Heej DeadHP1,

Would it be something to open a forum for the coming Dual Core Amlogic 8726-MX like the Droidstick A2 (http://www.kimdecent.com/newrelease/76.html) and the Geniatech ATV120 (http://www.geniatech.com/pa/atv120.asp)?

I'd like one of these in the future because of the hardware decoding capabilitys in XBMC.

Thanks!
