hello lewy20041

glad to see that geekbuying has sent you a free K-R42.
i had one of your roms on my neo x5 and it was very good.

my plan was to use the K-R42 as a dedicated xbmc device.
is there any chance to boot xbmc directly?

So without Startup Manager, maybe an xbmc lewy20041 boot animation.
and only the basic necessary android apps

some questions :
1, is the kr42 the same as the cs918 ?

i read on geekbuying that kr42 doesn't have bluetooth ( most sellers report it does)
2, Does it have bluetooth ?
3, if it doesn't have bluetooth will it support a external one ?
4, does the 'statusbar' hide, when running xbmc?
5, does the firmware include the 'libstagefright' patch ?

ps... great to see, ppl hard at work fixing firmwares... like the partition fix on the kr42 :-)
i ordered the cs918... yesterday (sadly, i have not seen any reviews yet)

two cheers... for developers :-)

well.... i got my answer
my CS918 just came-in... no bluetooth... and the pcb looks the same as pic from geekbuying (k-r42)
running 720p kernel it seems (refusing to goto 1080p gui)

still... not bad (first impression is good)

A bit late to this thread, but just wanted to clarify that when some vendors report Bluetooth, they actually mean the OS has the required drivers/kernel thingies ( :) ) to support external bluetooth dongles.
I've run across a few Chinese-based shops that list bluetooth in the spec, but eventually can be made to realize that people will infer this means there is bluetooth hardware within the Android stick/box.
Just thought I'd post this for future visitors wondernig...
