The main differences between these models seem to show the s7589 as being a little nicer than the n9589.
The s7589 has a 8GB rom, 3200mah batteries, and a stylus(I doubt it is as good as the note II though)
The n9589 has a 4GB rom and 2250mah batteries.
They both include 2 batteries and I think both are IPS screens.

Since they are about the same price I would probably choose the s7589 although that might not be in stock anywhere yet.
I believe a few places have the n9589 in stock including geekbuying. As usual you'll want to email the seller to check before you purchase, otherwise you may end up playing a waiting game.

I just received the iNew i2000 from geekbuying, which is cheaper than either option.(at least the white version is) I'll have a review up in about 2 days.
It has a 8GB rom and 2 2600mah baterries.
The screen looks great. I'm happy not having the physical home key since I've had those break(I prefer the touch version)
I've done a bunch of reading on it so I'm pretty sure that I can use batteries and accessories from the Changjiang n7300 for the iNew i2000. Infact I just ordered 2 flip cases and a 10 pack of screen protectors.
It seems the iNew i2000 is an upgraded version of the n7300. iNew is basically a brand new company that's a spin off from Changjiang. I believe that Changjiang also manufactures the ThL phones.

Anyhow just some food for thought.
Also keep in mind that the 1080p phones are coming out within the next 2-3 months.(720p is perfectly fine for me right now though).

Thanks for the input.

I want a phone that will get ROOT and i Have found a couple of pages with info on how to root, but since these phone are so new, it is just sites in chines or in Russian, and with google translate it seems to be possible to sort it out.

I have also sneaked on Cubot A6589 (nice battery 3600 mah!), which seems to be the more common of these phones. My main point is to use one of these as a phone and as a tablet to controlling my android tv stick. The stylus is not so important for me since i dont think that I am going to use it, but it is a nice feature.

And to start making my own ROMS. The rom part seems to be "simple" but the important part with kernals seems to be more difficult, and as i have understood it is the kernel that makes the phone stable/fast. Need to more reading about that, before I get my hands dirty.

are you going to make ant kernals or roms for these?

I wish I could make a new kernel for this guy, but they haven't leaked or release the source code for the MTK6589 yet. It'll probably take a while too.
As far as a custom roms go I'll have to play it by ear.
I am planning at the very least to release a rom that's prerooted and stripped of extra chinese apps.
The iNew so far seems pretty unique in that there is now a 4.2 firmware upgrade that the factory will be uploading.
I'll be writting/translating one of the root/cwm/increased app space guides for the iNew in a few days. I'm just getting to know this phone a bit first.

The Cubot A6589 was actually my first choice, but waiting for it has been a pain in the ass.
If I'm going to wait for a phone it should be one of the 1080p/2GB ones. There are a bunch of those coming out.

NIce to hear!

So it might been worth to keep waiting a bit more? for the 2GB, or if they start to use other chips?

Can you also keep me posted about the flips cases, since the iNew also seems to be interesting.
