Postby eskro32 » Thu Feb 28, 2013 9:44 am

hi guys, my SD card slot works good, meaning,
i can play movie on an sd card i insert in the prometheus.

however, the usb ports don't seem to work right...
no matter which usb 2.0 thumb drive i use, and i have many,
all under 16GB, well i can't access them and see their content so to speak.

any idea whats going on? do u guys have such an issue?

thx

i have the same problem , one stick is good and the other will not show up
i think that has to do with the power that the usb stick draws

maybe someone can try a powered usb hub

i believe the tronsmart prometheus is a great product, yes it has its flaws
you must consider that it is just a couple weeks on the market
and thay do a very good job in updating the software.
with every update the box keeps improving.
but some good things take a little bit of time.

back to topic

i think that maybe the usb ports not get enough power.
the cheap chinese power supply, may only be sufficient to power the Amlogic 8726-M6
the Amlogic 8726-M6 arm cortex m6 draws more power than the Rockchip RK3066
