I'm having a bizarre issue, I upgraded the firmware to deadhp1's firmware mk808_1416mhz_1080p, and then finless 1.5A.

In the display menu I don't have the option to change wallpaper, it is just not there at all

For those who find the fonts and the icons too small, just change the lcd_density at build.prop from 160 to 220. Everything will be as big as before! :D

Thanks, this what is was looking for!
Some further instructions for those who are intrested:
- Open system/build.prop using root explorer or symilar file explorer.
- Make sure the R/W rights are enabled.
- find the value ......lcd_density (its somewhere in the bottom) to 220.
- Reboot the device
I've changed this succesfully yesterday.

However for some strange reason the wifi-bug accured again yesterday (speeds dropping tot 5 - 15 mbps) with the firmware posted by deadhp1 1080p test firmware... :(
Anyone noticed this as well?

I followed your advise to change lcd_density from 160 to 220 but now I noticed that nothing will install from the play store. Even Google maps says "this is incompatible with your device." Even if I switch back to 160 still nothing will install from play store. Any ideas?

Hi there,

First of all, as a user of all the hard work going on in the development of these custom kernels, ROMs and tools, kudos to all those working towards the community.

I hope this doesn't rub anybody the wrong way, but I find the custom boot animations bundled with the custom ROMs quite ugly. Your mileage may vary... I would very much prefere being able to flash my Mk808 while keeping the stock boot animation that just says "Android".

Am I right to assume this is what's contained in the boot.img in the finless ROMs? Or does this contain more stuff that is tweaked for each device and release?

I'm currently running Finless 1.7 for the UG802 on my MK808, with KIZS' kernel, as explained elsewhere in this thread. Can I just get a different boot.img and flash only that using Bob's tools? If that is the case, can someone extract and make available the boot.img from the stock firmware (as the stock firmware is one large single image file, unlike the custom ones, which are divided into several images - boot, kernel, etc.)

I hope I'm making sense...

I don't have it either. Just click and hold over the desktop (away from any icons), you should see a pop-up that allows you to change the wallpaper.

Could you port this to the MK808-B, the stock kernel is here http://www.armtvtech.com/armtvtechforum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=793&start=10 A good kernel and the latest Finless firmware for the MK808-B http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?3198-NEW-MK808-B-mini-TV-Player-Finless-1-5-Custom-ROM would be awesome.

Sorry to ask such a newbie question, but doesn't the stock firmware support 1080P? I just ordered an MK808 and it probably wont arrive for a couple of weeks so I'm trying to learn as much as I can so I can be ready when it does and hit the ground running.
